The house, with its impressive balconies, stands in a quiet garden leading down to the edge of the river. Here you can sit and enjoy the beautiful tree lined river in peace, sun bathe or perhaps catch some fish for your evening meal; perfect cooked on the barbecue. Views are magnificent and far reaching across the river, towards the ancient port of Puy L’Eveque and further deep into the mysterious valley.

Your pleasure, relaxation and enjoyment of the holiday is very important to us, therefore we have bikes and table tennis for you to use and there is also an above ground pool, however you may swim in the river quite safely. For the safety of families with children, we have fenced off the area leading to the river with child proof locks. Fish, swim or launch a boat from our terraced area by the river.

The Region

Amazingly, the area around us is still unspoilt and you can find total isolation as well as busy market towns. Cahors, a lovely ancient town, is just thirty minutes away. This area is also famous for its black-diamond truffles, walnuts and some of the best cheeses you can buy; and of course, the wonderful red wines. The climate in this area is excellent and the warm season extends from early April to late October.

We have of course provided lists of places to see and things to do, for wet and dry days, as well as details of market days in the area, vineyards, chateaux, sports activities, restaurants and lots of other information you might need. We also supply a welcome pack of foodstuffs and complimentary wine from our local vineyard to help ease you gently into the holiday mood.
