Fishing & Canoeing
Fishing We have a large riverside pontoon from which you can fish. Night fishing is possible from 1st June ro 31st December each year. We have a catch and return policy. The river is stocked with carp, pike, perch, bream, sander, catfish, barbel, even large crawfish. A licence is needed for boat fishing which you can do in our battery operated outboard dinghy. Additionally, we can get your licence (around 35€) in advance as well as ground bait (boilies, corn and the like). Your welcome to pitch a tent for night fishing, we'll even supply the chairs. The best fishing months are April, May, June, Early July, September, October & November. Breakfast can be arranged on the pontoon while you're fishing. We can buy your licence in advance. Bait and fishing supplies in the village. One group of fishermen allowed at a time. |
Canoeing We have two single canoes and one double and we provide life jackets in all sizes. We also have a windsurfer (when there's any wind!) and a small sailing dinghy. Chris also provides river trips in a larger Dory with outboard. On a warm balmy evening a leisurely trip up the river with a glass of wine (which we provide) does wonders for the appetite and is not normally served at this speed!
